Report : Essential First Aid Examination 2009

Day : Saturday
Time : 7.30 am - 1.00 pm
Venue : SMK Damansara Utama

The exam was scheduled to begin at 7.30am. But our recruits were already gathered in 4 Keruing as early as 7.00am to register.

They seemed nervous and tense because it was their first time sitting for a first aid exam!

They were examined based on their knowledge in:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  
• Fractures and Bandaging
  
• Transportation
• Theory
  

In the waiting room, the recruits asked the form 5s & form 4s many, many questions to clear any doubts they had.

As they were waiting for their turn, one could here logbooks being flipped through very furiously!

The first aid crash courses was a great help to prepare the recruits for the exam. Most of them walked out the examination room feeling confident and excited but nervous at the same time to sit for the next one!

Once this was all done, the recruits proceeded to the registration counter to collect their scrumptious packed lunch, bee hoon.

At 12.30pm, everything ended.

Most recruits were already starting to leave with their parents.

Everyone felt really happy.

Fellow recruits, keep your fingers crossed as the first aid examination results will be announced real soon. We are certain most of you will pass.

Then, you will be able to go for fun-filled public duties and serve the community as a proud & qualified first aider of St. John Ambulance Malaysia!
