DIVISION BLOOD DRIVE

As some of you may know we had our division blood drive last Sunday at Giant Hypermarket. We started setting up at around ten am but registration was only open to donors at 11 am. Besides the bod, a few of the form two cadets were dutying as well. Shashilan, Ann Marie, Sheryn, Richelle, Su Ling and Bryan were responsible for handing out fliers and letting people know about our event.

We had a total of 112 people register to donate on that day but however only 90 were eligible. One of whom was our very own divisional officer Madam Serenity. Although we would have like to have collected 100 pints but all in all it was still a successful event. :D

We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us by donating. Also, to all the members on duty that day we would like to thank you for your hard work. Being on your feet all day is no easy task. Good job ! :)

On that day, organ donor registration cards were available. We had five people pledge their organs for donation. Besides that, we managed to collect around RM200 for the St. John donation box. *YAY*

At 5 pm, registration was closed. The remaining few donors were attended to and then we began to clean up. Hopefully we can continue to improve and collect more pints of blood next time around !

EXAM !

HELLO ALL.

Exams are just around the corner. Both midterms and our First Aid Exam. I hope everyone has been studying hard.
The first examination date will be this Sunday (22.4.2012). This will be for members sitting for their cadet ulangan and adult examination.
The recruits will sit for the exam next Saturday (28.4.2012) along with members sitting for adult ulangan. As most of you know, the exam comprises of 4 parts :

• THEORY
• CPR
• FRACTURES AND BANDAGING
• TRANSPORTATION

The details for the exam are as follows :

• Venue : SMK Damansara Utama 
• Time : 7am - 2pm
• Attire : Half-uniform

I hope everyone will come on time and prepared. IF you have any queries feel free to come early and see TAN HONG YEE. She and any other bod will be happy to help you. Study hard everyone and make us proud :D

*P.s : We would like to urge any member with St. John related questions or problems to seek help from the bod or Pn. Shan personally. Don't be shy. :P

Dear members and recruits, 

Welcome to 2012! Happy New Year, Happy Lunar New Year and Happy Thaipusam! All belated, but still heartfelt :)

Yes, SJAM-DU is back on blogspot after a temporary closure! We have done a little cyber-renovation and we hope that the change is for the better!

Our Facebook group will continue to be the most active space, but we hope to convey permanent information here for your benefit. So stay tuned for more information! In order to follow this space more efficiently, do follow us and/or register for a Google account.
