Since it hadn't been completely cleaned in a very long time, we decided to give it a much-needed makeover!
Our First Aid Room Was...
Step 1 : Empty Room.
It may sound simple enough, but it took a lot of hard work. We had to empty all the cupboards before carrying them out because they were so heavy. The Red Crescent members found and killed at least 5 cockroaches from inside their cupboard. And we had to deal with an ant's nest in ours.
So we brought everything out; cupboards, beds, tables, chairs, sofa... EVERYTHING!
Step 2: Paint walls.
We weren't prepared to do this. So a few of us had to travel (by foot) all the way to Uptown to get paint, thinner, brushes etc...
We chose Delicate Yellow; we thought it'd be nice to make the room look all bright and cheery (:
Before painting, we scraped the peeling paint off the walls. Once that was done, we started painting!
Step 3: Throw anything and everything useless.
We enjoyed this thoroughly. We got rid of many, many things.
The Red Crescent members were a little reluctant to throw their things away but in the end, we convinced them that it was for the better (: less clutter = better place.
Step 4: Put everything back in haste.
That's right. At 4 pm, we were all tired and decided to call it a day. Luckily, the newly painted walls dried just in time. We put everything back in the room and set another date to resume work.

Time : 2.30 pm - 5.00 pm
We started off with removing all the things in the room out of the room (again). And we threw more stuff like the BSMM's big wooden cupboard and our grey closet. We bought a nice, new shelf as a replacement and we even fixed it up ourselves!
We reorganized all the First Aid Equipment and brought all the furniture back in.
The room now has a new look. It's brighter, shinier and just a happier place to be in. It's less cluttered, more spacious and a more condusive place to treat casualties, practise procedures and have meetings! Although it isn't perfect, or as canggih as we'd all like it to be, I can very well assure you that we're now a step (okay, maybe 5 steps) closer to having the perfect-est First Aid Room ever.
In conclusion?
Mission accomplished.
